I REALLY LOVE this this tank. I will be the first to admit that I'm not a "rivet counter" (No offense intended.) so I really cannot tell if things are off in any way. They may be, but to me, it's a great model.

The overall look is dead on right. The turret on my copy turns freely and the gun has some serious elevation to it. (Again, I don't know if tanks really had this much elevation to their main gun, but it always seems like guns on tank from other diecast companies elevated a little less then I envisioned a real tank would.) The color of the tank is also a little different than other desert tanks that I have seen. To me it was a richer "brownish" tan than I've seen on tanks from other manufacturers. I have no idea if it's true to life, but the fact that's it's darker stands out more to my eyes and makes this diecast more appealing.

Both of the machine gun mounts look like they have a real machine gun in them and not just a piece of plastic that is supposed to represent a machine gun. The overall the detailing had me staring at little widgets here and there on the model for at least an hour.

The tank is really easy to remove from the case and screws, which is a delight as some other manufatcurer's tanks sometimes take a little fighting with to get out.

There are only two small things that I might ask for. The first is what unit this particular tank reflects. The other thing that I might change is there was no clear picture of tank (Model or real life.) on the box. I had a bit of a hard time figuring out where the antenna went in. The hole where is goes is easy enough to find, but I had never seen a "side mounted" antenna before. I kept looking at the pictures on the box (Which are faded background real life shots.) but none of them gave me a clear indication that there should be an antenna, much less where it went. This might not be a problem for most of the folks who purchase diecast but I have to admit that for me, it helps. I know generally what most planes and tanks looked like but I'm fairly ignorant of the smaller details. (Like, "Where does this damn antanna go! _G_)

Overall I really feel like I got my money and entertainments worth out of this model. I'll be purchasing future releases and eagerly await some of the "funkier" models Admiral has announced.
